Ricovero Casera Caserata
The place
Fixed bivouac at 1479 m at the foot of a green pass, in an isolated spot in the Dolomiti Friulane, on the route linking the Alta Valcellina to Monte Dosaip. Created by the Dolomiti Friulane Nature Park authority: table and benches, wood stove, four sleeping spots on a wooden platform, water source right behind. A small renovated casera with the charm of a fairy-tale cottage, set in a sloping flower-filled clearing like a tapestry. Access from Casera Podestine via the CAI 398 trail, or via an unmarked trail. Alternative approach: continuation of the CAI 398 from the Ciul dam. Refuge always open, unstaffed, ideal for excursions in the wild area of the Alta Valcellina.
