Reimikarin autiotupa

The place

A small uninhabited islet, Reimikari, on Lake Oulujärvi, roughly 5 km north of Säräisniemi and 8.5 km south of the main village of Vaala (Kainuu/Pohjois-Pohjanmaa). **The autiotupa was taken out of service in 2021 due to poor condition**; there is currently no plan for a new cabin on Reimikari. The site remains accessible for picnicking and camping: an outdoor fire hearth, a shelter, toilets are in place, and a new landing stage was installed the following summer.
