Refugio picolo (refugio Puerto del Correo)
The place
The so-called Refugio Picolo (or Refugio del Puerto del Correo) at Villaluenga del Rosario, in the Sierra de Grazalema (province of Cadiz, Andalusia). A small, refurbished cabin with an unlocked door, allowing hikers to rest or spend the night if needed. Equipped with a fireplace and a cistern for collecting rainwater (not drinking water, must be treated before consumption). One of the two restored shelters in the area, along with the Refugio de los Pinsapos, on the emblematic route "Puerto de las Viñas - Puerto del Correo - Refugio Puerto del Correo - Casa de los Pinsapos - Navazos de Líbar". An exceptional setting in the Sierra de Líbar, with Spanish fir forests (Abies pinsapo) and karst landscapes.
