The place
Free fishermen's refuge in Castile and León (province of Burgos, Spain), at 755 m. A very basic fisherman's-shelter-type hut, with no door or windows according to sources, serving as a stopover for anglers and hikers crossing the valleys of Soria and Burgos (northern Sierra de la Demanda, Arlanza and Duero basins). Not to be confused with the Camping Refugio de Pescadores at Covaleda (Soria), a much more developed facility on the banks of the Duero in Spain's largest pine forest. The DB shelter is the "free" option in the same area, with minimal facilities.
