Refugio Los Brezos (Heather Refuge) in the Sierra de Gredos, El Barco de Ávila/Candelario area (province of Ávila, Castile and León, Spain), at 1376 m elevation, on the northern slope of this granite sierra. Continuous Gredos cluster (batches 238+258+260). An unstaffed refugio used for transhumance (transhumancia). Located in a zone of Scots pines, heather (brezos) and Festuca indigesta grasslands, habitat of the Iberian ibex.
