Free refuge in the Sierra de Guadarrama (Madrid, Spain) — not Sierra de Gata as one might assume — on the north face of La Najarra, facing Rascafría. Fastest access: follow the GR 10 from the Puerto de la Morcuera, leave the car at the car park, then take the track behind the Morcuera refuge and follow it for 3 km to a junction at the Aguilón stream, where the refuge stands. A basic shelter for hikers, with no facilities. Classic forested setting of the northeastern Guadarrama, a base for climbing La Najarra and the neighbouring summits of the Lozoya valley.
