Refugio La Longuilla in the Sierra de Gredos, El Barco de Ávila/Solana area (province of Ávila, Castile and León, Spain), at 1560 m elevation, on the northern slope of the granite sierra. Continuous Gredos cluster (batches 238+258). Unstaffed free refugio used for Castilian transhumance (transhumancia castillana). Area of Scots pine and Festuca indigesta grassland, habitat of the Iberian ibex (Capra pyrenaica victoriae) and black stork.
