Forest refuge in the network of shelters of the Serranía de Cuenca (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain), at 1599 m, close to other historic forest refuges in the area, some of which (Tío Ildefonso) are listed among buildings in a state of abandonment, in contrast with better-kept refuges such as del Pozarrón or Casa del Cura. Typical forest setting of the Serranía conquense, with stands of Pinus nigra and P. sylvestris, in a regulated hunting sector. A rustic stop for self-sufficient hiking and mountain biking, with no warden or services.
