The place
Large free refuge in Covaleda (province of Soria, Castile and León), at the heart of the Sierra de la Cebollera. Several rooms and fireplaces, basic lodging for a hiking, mountain biking or snowshoeing stage — without running water or electricity. A classic forested setting of northern Soria: meadows, dense pine forests and oak woods, shared with the neighbouring Campamento Juvenil Sotolengo (Junta de Castilla y León) and the Agua Buena area. Frequent routes towards the Refugio de Mojabragas and the Playa Pita from Abejar.
