The place
Unguarded refuge in the Rigüelo valley, municipality of Aísa (Huesca, Aragón), beneath the folded strata of the Rigüelo and at the start of the climb towards the Collado de la Madalena, practically on the GR 11.1. Designed to offer safe shelter to hikers: 5 bunks spread across a raised platform and the floor, a welcome fireplace on cold nights. No toilets or kitchen — full self-sufficiency required. Very good condition (recently renovated). Most common access route: from Canfranc, about 8 km, moderate climb.
