Refugio de Palero
The place
Free refuge on Monte de Biel, in the Sierra de Santo Domingo (province of Zaragoza, Aragón). Located within the Santo Domingo protected natural area. Interior with a fairly large fireplace, a cupboard where useful items left by passers-by are sometimes found, and a table with benches taking up most of the ground floor. A wooden upper floor (more comfortable than stone) serves as sleeping space: 8 to 10 places under normal conditions. Vehicle access, or a 30-minute walk from the Caseta de Marinero car park. Access to several local trails, including the Biel interpretive trail and the Peña de los Buitres - Fuencalderas loop.
