Recently renovated refuge-bar near Brañosera, right on the Cantabria-Palencia-León border region (Castile). The nearby village of Brañosera is considered the first municipality of Spain, having received its charter in 824 when the territory was part of the Kingdom of Asturias. The mountainous sector includes the peaks of Sestil (2065 m), Peña Astiá (1929 m) and Peña Rubia (1931 m), which mark the border between Cantabria and Castilla y León. Mid-mountain routes toward Refugio de Golobar and Valdecebollas. A base for hiking and taking in the scenery.
