The place

Staffed high-mountain refuge at 1890 m in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park (Spanish Pyrenees, Estós valley). Surrounded by peaks over 3000 m. Capacity 54 bunk spaces, open 365 days a year. Home-cooked meals with fresh, local ingredients. Bar-cafeteria. Starting or finishing point for many excursions and the GR-11. Suited to families as well as demanding expeditions. Partnerships with AEMET (Spanish meteorological agency), FAM (Spanish federation of mountain refuges), Montaña Segura and +8000. Access via the Estós valley in about 2h30 on an easy trail.
