The place
Refugio de Campolengo at 1534 m on the ascent to the Laguna de Urbión from Trambosríos (coordinates 42.03°N 2.87°W, near Viniegra de Arriba, La Rioja, Spain). Stone refuge with a corner fireplace and stacked firewood. Clean and in good condition, but without a platform for sleeping bags. A stop on the ascent to the Laguna de Urbión, an iconic glacial lake in the Urbión massif.
Getting there
Not in Asturias or León (opposite of what the name suggests). Access from Trambosríos / Viniegra de Arriba (La Rioja). Free-access, bivouac-style refuge.
