The place
Forest refuge at 1840 m above the bordas del Ras de Conques, below the Cap de la Devesa, east of the Creu del Ras, near the village of Ars (commune of Les Valls de Valira, Alt Urgell, Catalonia). Forest track from Ars: 1h30 on foot; 5h from Farrera, La Basseta or the Refugi Gall Fer; 3h30 from Comes de Rubió. Capacity of 16 places, including 8 emergency places. Services: water, showers, beds, blankets, mattresses, toilets, on-site parking. A watershed massif between the Sègre and Noguera Pallaresa, a gentle upper valley crossed by the stream of the same name.
