The place

FEEC (Federació d'Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya) refuge at 2378 metres in the Engorgs cirque, on the south-west side of Puig Pedrós (commune of Meranges, Cerdagne, Catalonia). Eighteen sleeping places. Named in memory of Joaquim Folch i Girona, geologist, engineer and prominent member of the Centre Excursionista de Catalunya, a renowned mountaineer and naturalist. The GR-11 long-distance trail passes by this refuge. Nearest town: Meranges, about 2h30 walk away.
