Refugi del Pla de Falgars

The place

A recently refurbished open-access refuge at the Pla de Falgars, in the commune of Vidrà (Girona, Catalonia, Spain), between the Vall del Ges and the Garrotxa, near the Collada de Fra Antoni and the Banc de la Roca del Corb. Small but sufficient, the interior is equipped with a large table and a large iron fireplace. Always open; in bad or cold weather you can have breakfast there. A classic route starts from Vallfogona del Ripollès, going through the village then the road toward Olot up to the Coll de Canes, followed by a trail through a spectacular beech forest up to the plateau.
