The place
Free forest refuge (refugi lliure) in the municipality of Gombrèn (Ripollès, eastern Catalan Pyrenees, Catalonia), near the Coma Ermada stream, north of the Montgrony sanctuary. Capacity for 20 people, with no indoor facilities. Access via a forestry track passable by car, picnic area and a generously flowing fountain outside. Peaceful, beautiful setting, a starting point for various routes towards Costa Pubilla and the Montgrony massif. DB altitude 1419 m; external sources say 1380 m, discrepancy kept as is.
