Refugi de la Mussara

The place

Manned refuge at 997 m near the ruins of the village of La Mussara, in the Muntanyes de Prades natural park, municipality of Vilaplana (Baix Camp, Tarragona, Catalonia). Built and inaugurated in 1989, managed by the FEEC. Capacity of 57 places. Facilities: water, picnic area, heating, showers, electricity, stove, bunk beds, kitchen area, mattresses and bathrooms. 12 km from Vilaplana, 16 km from Prades and 24 km from Reus. Access on foot: about 30 minutes from the Coll de l'Agustenc, 1h30 from Vilaplana, 1h10 via the Campanilles trail, 1h20 via las Torres and 1h30 from La Febró via les Avencs. A stage on the GR 7, starting point for the gorges of La Febró, les Avencs, the Gralles cave and the Tosques ravine.
