Refugi de Coma Obaga
The place
Free refuge at 2015 m on the left bank of the Valira du Nord, near the Coma Obaga torrent, Ordino parish (Principality of Andorra). Inaugurated in 1981, stone construction. Capacity 15 people in bunk beds. Indoor fireplace and outdoor fountain. Open all year; upkeep (cleaning, wood, first-aid kit) is usually carried out in summer. Vehicle access via the village of Llorts towards Serrat, 1 km after the Pont des Mines for parking; then on foot via the Farreres path, roughly 2 hours' climb (570 m elevation gain). Trail network connected to the Borda de Sorteny refuge and the Vall de Sorteny Nature Park.

The setting
Situé à 2015 m d'altitude, sur la rive gauche orographique de la Valira del Nord, juste à côté du torrent de Coma Obaga — un nom qui signifie « combe ombragée » (vallon glaciaire de pâturage d'été, versant à l'ombre).
A bit of history
Le refuge a été inauguré en 1981 et appartient au gouvernement d'Andorre. C'est un refuge de montagne non gardé situé dans la paroisse d'Ordino.
