Refugi dels Estanys d'Ensagents: A Mountain Oasis in Andorra The Refugi dels Estanys d'Ensagents is a mountain hut located in the parish of Encamp in Andorra, at 2,420 metres of altitude, just below the Estanys d'Ensagents and at the foot of the Coll d'Entinyola, to the right of the Ensagents river. Description and Facilities Capacity: Has eight beds (four iron bunk beds) with only four mattresses. The shepherd's section has no bed, but does have a fireplace. Facilities: A wood stove is present in the hut section, requiring plenty of firewood and firelighter tablets. Tools for cutting wood (saw, axe, etc.) are available in good condition. However, in winter the wood is damp, which makes it hard to keep the fire going. Water Supply: An outdoor spring fed by the river is available, but in winter it may be frozen or covered in snow, making access difficult. Note The hut has no modern comforts, and some facilities can be hard to use in winter due to harsh weather conditions.
