The place

A small refuge at 975 m below the Pic de Sailfort, in the Albères massif (Pyrénées-Orientales, commune of Argelès-sur-Mer), with clear views over Banyuls and the Mediterranean Sea. Limited capacity — 2 to 3 people maximum inside, fills up quickly. Restored in 2021 after a fire. The name pays tribute to Tomy, the dog belonging to Maurice, who built the hut. Outside, partly sheltered from the tramontane wind, a leveled terrace allows two tents to be pitched. Access from the Refuge Coll de Banyuls or via the GR 10 from Banyuls.
