Rustic Mountain Refuge The Rustic Mountain Refuge, set in a preserved natural setting, offers simple and authentic accommodation for hikers. With a capacity of 3 mattress spaces, this refuge provides shelter with a corner fireplace, a few benches, and a firewood stock available to shepherds nearby. Available Resources Water: Available from a nearby stream, but it is recommended to use purification tablets due to livestock and construction activity in the area. Environment and Access Natural environment: The refuge is located in a pastoral area, with easy access to firewood just 500m away along the forest track heading southeast. Access: From Mijanès, head toward the Col de Pailhères on the D25 and stop at the ski station, where there is a large parking area and a ski lift. The refuge is on the right-hand side of the first building, open to the public. Note: It is recommended to respect the space and keep the premises clean, in order to preserve the natural beauty of this rustic mountain refuge.
