The place
Mountain Refuge: A Place of Rest in the Heart of Nature The refuge in question, located in a picturesque mountain setting, offers 6 sleeping places with mattresses provided. It was fully renovated by scouts during the summers of 2017 and 2018, giving new shine to this resting place. Nearby, a spring fitted 50 m east of the refuge and running water in front of the building ensure the water supply. In addition, a cooperative woodshed has been set up on the access path from Cohardin, providing a practical heating solution. To access drinking water, simply go behind the hut where a small pipe emerges from a rock. The site offers a stunning view over Chambéry, the Bauges, and the Bens valley, with the possibility of spotting chamois and marmots. Access to the refuge is possible from Arvillard, passing by the Karma Ling study centre (former charterhouse) at an altitude of 770 m, or from Val Pelouse (1730 m) crossing the Refuge de la Perrière and the Col de la Frèche and Col d'Arpingon. Cabane non gardée à 1920m, en lisière de forêt (source aménagée à 50m à l'est). 6 places sur matelas, couvertures conservées dans un coffre protecteur, poêle à bois, pas de cheminée ni latrines.
A bit of history
Rénovée par des scouts durant les étés 2017-2018 (nouveau captage d'eau et poêle installés en 2017, renforcement porte/structure) ; entretien assuré par l'association Belledonne Sports Nature avec dons volontaires.
