Refuge du Castor at Lac Démélé (Quebec), located between two lakes, at the end of a beautiful trail. Access on foot in summer (20 min from the summer parking area) or on snowshoes/on foot in winter (45 min from the winter parking area). No running water: 20 L jugs provided for cooking and dishes. Outdoor dry toilets, a hearth to heat the refuge, rustic indoor shower. Close to Lac Démélé for swimming, fishing and canoeing in summer; snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter.
