The place
La Chardousë is an alpine refuge at 1659 m elevation in the hamlet of Vazon, in the municipality of Oulx (Val de Suse, Piedmont, Italy). Built between 2004 and 2007 by its wardens Valentina and Claudio Jorio, it offers traditional dining served in a stone-walled room or on a panoramic terrace. It is part of the Compagnie des Refuges Clarée-Thabor network (Italian side).
