Refuge Jules Biollaz

The place

Refuge at 2440 m in the Bernese Alps / Valais (municipality of Conthey, Switzerland). Access from Loutze (above Ovronnaz) via the chemin de Chamosentze and the trail to the Cabane Rambert; located near the pass east of the Dent de Chamosentze, a few metres from the outflow of Lac de la Forclaz. Warning: a stream crossing that can be problematic during high-water periods. Wooden interior, clean and welcoming, with mattresses, sleeping bags, a blanket and a gas stove.
