The place

Forest shelter with a large fireplace, 2 tables, 3 benches, 7 chairs. No dedicated sleeping spots, but 4 or 5 people should be able to sleep on the cement floor (well dry) by bringing thick sleeping pads, pushing the tables aside, and giving it a sweep (bring a broom), though the shelter was very clean when visited. Dry wood inside the shelter and plentiful nearby. Head up the Rébenty gorges almost to the source. On the last bends of the Col du Pradel (point 1432m on the map), stop at a wood storage area on the left side of the road. Go down a small meadow on the right side of the road to find a rough forest path that descends to the stream, crosses it, then climbs about ten meters to the shelter. Don't be afraid to get your feet wet in the tall grass and while fording the stream. ONF
