The place

Staffed refuge at 2357 m on the southern slope of the Port de Perafita (Catalan Cerdagne), near the Lac Inférieur de la Pera, inaugurated in 1957. Capacity 35 places during the staffed season, 4 places in the emergency winter shelter. A stage on the GR 11.10 linking Cerdagne to Andorra. Managed by the FEEC. Access on foot from the Pollineres spring in 45 minutes, or from the Aransa cross-country ski centre car park in 2h15. A summer shuttle runs in August between Cap de Rec and the El Fornell restaurant at Pollineres (€3 return).
