Chimney for a possible fire. Heat is limited by poor insulation in the depths of winter — it's freezing, especially given the elevation is high for the Vosges massif! 03/2023: saws, an axe. Good shelter for a stop between the Grand Ballon and the Markstein on a traverse of the Hautes-Vosges... Seen from below, it sits between Geishouse and Saint-Amarin... A lovely spot southwest of the Storkenkopf, deep in the forest. The shelter is hard to spot the first time. Halfway between the Grand Ballon and the Moorfeld. No logbook in this tiny cabin, built for a picnic stop...
