The place
Refuge du secteur 6 in the Matane Wildlife Reserve managed by SÉPAQ (Gaspésie, Québec), at 370 m. The reserve covers 1,275 km² with one of the highest moose concentrations in Québec and around twenty lakes spread across 8 accommodation sectors, including this one. Rustic shelter by a lake or river, equipped for fishing and hunting. Long-distance hikers can also stay in shelters or rustic campsites along the 100 km of trails crossing the start of the Chic-Chocs.
