The place

Staffed refuge of the Vanoise National Park, at 2,126 m altitude. Owned by the commune of Méribel-les-Allues. New building opened in 2014, wheelchair accessible. Bookable capacity: dormitories of 6 or 8 people, and rooms of 2 to 4 beds. Continuous catering in season (12pm-2:30pm) with home cooking. Summer season from 15 June to 15 September. Access in about 2h20 from the Lac de Tueda (Méribel-Mottaret), 7 km via the Vallée du Fruit. An unstaffed section is also documented for off-season passage.
