Refuge des Roncis
The place
Unguarded hut set at 750 m in the Vosges department (commune of Cornimont, Grand Est), in the heart of the southern Vosges massif. Notable position near a road, close to a small path just after a water catchment area behind a sharp right-hand bend. Classic access from Cornimont heading toward the hamlet of Xoulces, then along the Rosiers forest road. Fittings: a table with benches seating about 8 people, a wood stove, a small work counter. A small stream runs right beside the hut, and a woodpile is available. Typical Vosges forest setting: beech-fir forests on the Lorraine slope, hedgerow meadows, landscapes typical of the Ballons des Vosges regional nature park.
