Refuge des Rochilles

The place

Refuge at 2412 m occupying a small part of a large, elongated building belonging to the military units of the 93e RAM and the 2e REG, in the Cerces-Ambin massif (Maurienne, Savoie). Access from the Plan Lachat car park south of Valloire, walk up via a track or a trail on the left joining the Rochilles military camp. Capacity: 6 stacked bunk beds with army blankets (formerly 2x2 bunk beds plus 2 single beds, 5 mattresses). Open all year round, free and unstaffed shelter.
