Part of the continuous Swiss Jura cluster (batches 215-344). A communal forest hut ("Prins-Bois", a Franco-Provençal Jura place name meaning roughly "wood taken from the meadow"), in a zone of Jura beech-fir forest on limestone and home to a watchmaking minority from the Vallée de Joux (the Swiss watch industry of Val-de-Travers, Chaux-de-Fonds/Le Locle, UNESCO-listed in 2009 as "watchmaking urbanism", 100,000 jobs, CHF 40 billion in exports per year); heritage of the canton of Vaud (Protestant, French-speaking, separated from Bern in the 1798 Vaud Revolution led by Frédéric-César de La Harpe).
