Refuge de Matalza

The place

Staffed refuge at 1415 m on the Plateau du Cuscionu, an iconic stage of the GR 20 (stage 13), municipality of Zicavo (Corse-du-Sud). Access from Zicavo, 1 h 45 from Ajaccio, or from Quenza, 45 minutes. The plateau has historically been the largest summer grazing area on the island. Varied capacity: 12-bed dormitory, 3 tepees for 1-2 people, domes for 1-3 people, 50 bivouac pitches and 30 tents for rent. Restaurant open 7 days a week. Phone +33 (0)6 11 03 85 90.
