Refuge de Manganu

The place

Capacity: 31 Hut built in 1978, expanded and refurbished in 2001. About thirty spots on sleeping platforms with mattresses. Staffed in summer season (mid-May to mid-October approx.): catering, small store, restrooms, electricity, overnight stays at PNRC rates). Outside staffed periods: dormitory accessible, kitchen corner (gas burners, some cutlery), but restrooms closed/unheated. Nearly permanent stone-built fountain, a few meters east of the hut's entrance. Access on foot only, whether from the GR20 or via the cairned and waymarked connecting trail climbing from Orto and Soccia (via Lac de Creno). Commune of Orto.
