Refuge de la Têtaz

The place

The refuge has been stripped of all its fittings (so there is no longer a stove, mattresses, dishes, firewood, saw, axe...). Only the bed bases and the table remain. This refuge appears to be disappearing. Various notes: 7 individual sleeping spots. A table and 2 benches. Wooden hut, good condition. Water nearby (100 m along the path toward la Rosière). As of 6 July 2010: nothing was flowing from the small spring located 100 m from the refuge toward the Chalets de la Rosière. The door has been repaired, reinforced and is now locked. The refuge is no longer accessible as of January 2016, except to a lucky few keyholders... Access from the village of Thuy (3 km from Thônes on the road to Annecy), or from the Plateau des Glières. Gone private???
