The place

Staffed refuge at 1430 m in the Gravona valley (Corsica), on the side of the Punta Muratellu ridge. Key stage of the GR 20 between Vizzavona (920 m) and Petra Piana, marking the end of the most mineral part of the trail heading south and the junction between the two halves of the route (stage 8 north-south, stage 9 south-north). Managed by the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse. Capacity 30 dormitory beds, nearby camping area with fresh water, outdoor kitchen and sanitary block. Booking mandatory, exclusively through the official platform pnr-corse.fr; in July-August, book several months in advance. Cascade des Anglais and Monte d'Oro accessible from the route.
