Refuge de Claror
The place
Refuge de Claror is an unguarded refuge at 2,280 m elevation in the parish of Escaldes-Engordany in Andorra, in the Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Inaugurated in 1981, owned by the Andorran government, open year-round. Capacity 20 places. Interior amenities: bunk beds, a wooden mezzanine (about a dozen places), tables, benches, sink. Exterior: a fountain fed by a stream, a barbecue, stone tables and benches. Located between the Collada de Prat Primer and the Estany de la Nou, on the GRP trail, alongside the Riu Madriu. Regularly inspected by Andorran government rangers.
