The Chaumailloux site at around 1640 m in the Réserve naturelle des Hauts Plateaux du Vercors. The area has two nearby, active huts: the Cabane PNRV des Chaumailloux at 1665 m, open access, managed by the Parc naturel régional du Vercors, and the Bergerie des Chaumailloux, also known as the SMA hut, at 1645 m, reserved for members or guests of the Skieurs du Mont Aiguille (booking at chaumaillouxsma@gmail.com).
