Former Spanish refuge at 2140 m near the Piedrafita cirque, about 1 km from the Refuge Respomuso (Aragonese Pyrenees, Huesca). Erected in 1927, inaugurated the following year, located on a rocky promontory near the Laquet de las Ranas. Named after King Alfonso XIII, a nature and hunting enthusiast, who encouraged the development of refuges in the Spanish Pyrenees. Decommissioned — visible from the neighboring Refuge Respomuso. Access via a path from Refuge Respomuso, passing between the lakes on the right.
