A historic cottage on Molesworth Station (Molesworth, 5000 km², New Zealand's largest sheep and cattle station — Merino sheep, Angus and Hereford cattle — plus the Rainbow-Molesworth crossing, an iconic 190 km 4WD track in NZ, plus the Kaikōura earthquake of 14 November 2016, Mw 7.8, which uplifted the coast by up to 6 m and triggered around 100,000 landslides, the largest such geological event recorded in NZ, plus the heritage of Ngāti Kurī (a Māori iwi of Ngāi Tahu, north Kaikōura/Wairau, around 5000 members; the 1998 Ngāi Tahu Claims Settlement, $170 million NZD, granting 40% of southern commercial fisheries; and the traditional Kāi Tahu poutou tāua war party).
