DAV cabin (self-managed by the Munich section) located at 1370 m altitude in the Benediktenwand group (Bavarian Prealps), in the Probstenkessel (an FFH protected area with great species diversity, springs, streams, and an ibex population). Fully renovated in 2020 (reopened after 5 years of closure). 28 beds. Open year-round.

A bit of history
Ce bâtiment était à l'origine un alpage, dont l'ancienne étable a été transformée en dortoir. La propriété a été acquise en 1930 par deux sections du club alpin allemand ; l'activité pastorale n'y est plus exploitée aujourd'hui.
A word from the warden
Ce refuge est géré par la section munichoise du club alpin allemand, en tant que cabane d'auto-secours à accès principalement réservé aux membres, sans gardiennage permanent sur place.
