Refuge de Pré Bouillet: Between Basic Comfort and Locked Privacy The Refuge de Pré Bouillet is divided into two distinct parts: Right-hand Section Description: Small, basic shelter with a table, an old bread oven for making fire, and a mezzanine above. Amenities: No mattress or blanket, but generally in good condition. Left-hand Section Description: Locked section, offering greater comfort. Booking: Contact the town hall of Farges to possibly obtain the keys. Setting Location: Clearing in the middle of the forest, right next to the road (closed in winter). Toilets: Outside the refuge. Access Route: Follow the signs for "Pré Bouillet" from the centre of the village of Farges. Distance: 300 metres from the signposted junction. Getting there
Accessible en voiture depuis le centre du village de Farges, par une petite route qui serpente sur 3-4 virages (route du Col du Sac) ; fermée l'hiver en cas de neige.
The setting
Chalet d'alpage à 1043m dans le massif du Jura (Pays de Gex, Ain), composé d'un abri ouvert et d'une partie fermée à clé plus confortable. Latrines extérieures ; pompe à eau non potable à proximité.
A word from the warden
Pas de gardien permanent. Ouvert à la location du 1er mai au 1er novembre ; la partie fermée se réserve via la mairie de Farges, qui détient la clé.
