The place

DOC "serviced" hut with 20 bunks at 40 m in Fiordland National Park (Tuatapere area, NZ), gateway to the South Coast Track. Rates: adults $25/night, youth 5-17 $12.50, under 4 free. New rates from 1 July 2026. Online booking required (until 30 June 2027), same-day bookings until 8 pm subject to availability, no space held for walk-ins. Marine access: compliance with the Fiordland Marine Pathway Plan, Clean Vessel Pass required (invasive marine species).
