Pororari Hut

The place

DOC Great Walk category hut with twenty bunks at 462 m in Paparoa National Park, on the Paparoa Track (West Coast). Panoramic views. Facilities: heating, dry-pit toilets, cold running water, gas cooking. Bring sleeping bag and cookware, no shower on site. Rates per person per night: high season (Oct-Apr) 61 NZD NZ adult / 31 NZD NZ child; international rates 92 / 46 NZD. Low season (May-Sep) 50 NZD adult and 25 NZD child (NZ and international identical). Standard Backcountry passes do not apply: booking required via DOC. Ranger present in summer. Distances: from Moonlight Tops Hut 5-7 h on foot or 4-5 h by mountain bike (19.1 km), from the Pororari River car park 4-5 h on foot (16 km), from the Waikori Road car park 2.5 to 3.5 h by mountain bike (17.1 km).
