The place

Basic DOC hut managed as a historic building, located at 648 m in the St James Conservation Area (Canterbury), on the route of the St James Cycle Trail. Free access, no charge and no booking, on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback. The nearby former hut, Old Bridge Hut, is out of use.
