Planinarsko sklonište Struge
The place
A wooden mountain shelter (sklonište) set at 1400 m on the southern Velebit, about a 3 h walk from the Paklenica mountain lodge (Planinarski dom). Bungalow run by the PD Paklenica alpine club of Zadar: 15 beds, always open, minimal facilities — bring a sleeping bag. The nearest water source is the Marasovac spring, about a 20-minute walk from the sklonište. No road access; the nearest point reachable by vehicle is Veliko Rujno, reachable from Starigrad Paklenica via the forest road. A popular base for the peaks of the southern Velebit in the Paklenica National Park area and at the foot of Sveto brdo.

~3 h from the Paklenica mountain lodge. No road; nearest vehicle approach at Veliko Rujno from Starigrad Paklenica. Water 20 min away (Marasovac spring).
