The place

Mountain shelter (planinarsko sklonište) located at about 1,250 m on the Velebit Mountaineering Route (VPP), halfway between Paklenica and Sveto brdo. Single-storey brick building with one room and a wooden ceiling. Fully renovated: insulated and finished walls and floor, laminate flooring in the mezzanine, new stove and kitchen corner. Rainwater cistern nearby. Capacity of about twelve people, permanent shelter open year-round. Managed by PD Babulj from Bibinje. A checkpoint on the VPP and an essential stage for traversing the Velebit.
